✨ Travel Essentials

Over the years, I’ve found a handful of travel essentials that make every trip a little easier. If you’d like to see what I pack for my travels, you can browse my Travel Essentials storefront here.

When I first started traveling, I thought the highlights would be the big moments.

The famous landmarks.

The bucket-list destinations.

The places everyone talks about.

And don’t get me wrong—I loved all of those things.

But what surprised me most were the little moments I never planned for.

Some of my favorite travel memories aren’t attached to a famous attraction at all.

They’re attached to ordinary moments that somehow became unforgettable.

A quiet morning before the crowds arrived.

A conversation with a stranger.

A cup of coffee in a place where nobody knew my name.

A random street I decided to walk down simply because it looked interesting.

Before I started traveling, I imagined vacations would be about checking places off a list.

Now I realize they’re more about collecting moments.

I remember wandering through the streets of Mykonos with absolutely nowhere I needed to be.

No schedule.

No rush.

Just exploring.

I remember stopping to take photos, noticing details I would have completely missed if I had been focused on getting somewhere.

The blue doors.

The flowers hanging from balconies.

The little restaurants tucked into corners.

The sounds of people laughing over dinner.

Travel taught me something I wasn’t expecting.

Most of us spend so much of our lives thinking about what’s next.

The next task.

The next bill.

The next responsibility.

The next thing on the calendar.

But when I’m traveling, something shifts.

I pay attention more.

I notice things.

I slow down.

And somehow, those simple moments become the memories I carry home.

Even now, when I look back at my travel photos, the pictures I love most usually aren’t the famous ones.

They’re the photos that remind me how I felt.

Curious.

Excited.

Grateful.

Present.

It’s funny because years ago, I wasn’t really a traveler at all.

Today, some of my favorite experiences have come from simply being willing to step onto a plane and see what happens next.

Travel hasn’t just shown me new places.

It’s changed the way I look at everyday life.

And honestly, that might be the best souvenir I’ve ever brought home.
